The next video -- if all goes well, will go into more depth on the topic of classifiers, classifier clitics, spatial directional verbs, spatial locative verbs and what we call "plain verbs". In a nutshell, the syntax with plain verbs is SVO (subject-verb-object) -- just like English. You might say that SVO is the "default" syntax in ISN. However, because so many sentences involve spatial verbs (with moving figures and grounded objects), one might think that SVO is the exception, rather than the rule.
Spatial verbs most often feature an OSV word order (and always an OSV order embedded within the verb itself.) Depending on the emphasis of the signer, we sometimes see SOV. (The cat sits on the rock, the fox sits on the rock, but the dog stands on the rock. -- emphasis on dog for that last phrase, so the sign order might shift from OSV to SOV. You all might call this topicalization.)
Oh well, now I am rambling. But anyone who disagrees is welcome to criticize our analysis. I value the input.
Enjoy the show.

This video is presented entirely in ISN (with lots of SignWriting) and with English captioning. There were a few captioning errors (which is annoying for me, but my fault), and somehow we edited in a mistaken clip (showing ISN as "I-N-S").
