FINISH!
Enfim terminamos a última apresentação no The SignWriting Symposium 2014. Foram 9 trabalhos que escrevi e apresentei junto a pessoas fantásticas: Raquel Barreto, Marianne Rossi Stumpf, Pedro Zampier, Vera Souza E Lima, Roberto Costa, Eva Dos Reis, Luiza Campos Borges Nascimento, Jorgina Cássia Tannus Souza, Tatiana Gavião, Silvana Langhi Pellin Pereira e Gilberto Goulart.

Obrigado Adam Frost, Nancy Fray Romero, Stephen E Slevinski Jr e demais.

[OUR SPECIAL THANKS to Valerie Sutton for her work since 1974. And give thanks for the staff who worked to make possible this Symposium. Thank you Adam, Nancy Romero, Stephen Slevinski and everyone].

FINISH!
Finally finished the last performance at The SignWriting Symposium 2014 - 9 papers I wrote and presented along with fantastic people were: Raquel Barreto, Marianne Rossi Stumpf, Peter Zampier, Vera E Souza Lima, Roberto Costa, Eva Dos Reis, Luiza Campos Borges Birth, Jorgina Cassia Tannus Souza, Tatiana Hawk, Silvana Langhi Pellin and Gilberto Pereira Goulart.

As you know, there were many hours of preparation and anxiety on this very important moment for Sign Language, for SignWriting the world and also for the Brazilian Deaf Communities.

In each of them we speak directly about the numerous projects that have been developed in Brazil since 1996. More recently, since 2011, Libras has writing materials and videos posted on our website and blog. In 2012 we launched the book 'Writing Signs without mysteries' and last year's games in LIBRAS in the course 'Writing Signs 2.0' (distance learning via internet). Many more are being prepared …

I was very bold >> 9 presentations to submit work (maybe almost crazy as it gave me a lot of work to articulate with so many people from so many different places). But it's like someone has said, he could not but speak of what I have seen and heard the SignWriting use in our day to day.

I once again congratulate everyone who since 1996 have attempted to show that Brazil is NOT a LIBRAS unwritten language, but can also be written. There are several other proposals or written notation for sign language, but SignWriting (in Brazil called Libras Escrita) draws our attention due to its iconicity. Each phonological parameter is logged in this system. There are different levels of depth. Both deaf and hearing researchers and users, fluent in LIBRAS or not, can learn and use this writing in daily.

Who still does not know >> Libras Escrita / SignWriting (believe it or not), do not know the countless opportunities and benefits that are here for us to enjoy. Ease in store signs, linguistic deepening in LIBRAS (without measure!), New opportunities for professional performance, ease of development-related research LIBRAS, accuracy in recording and notes of our signs learned or created, and as many benefits as any other system writing has for their respective languages: Portuguese, English, French, etc..

> My work as a performer and researcher of LIBRAS, for example, was never the same ... The day to day Raquel Barreto then, not speaking. It's indescribable the opportunity to write her First Language, Libras and communicate this way in everyday life.
Congratulations also to the other Brazilian speakers who participated in the SW Symposium (Debbie Fields, Enilde Faulstich, Gláucio Castro and Patricia Tuxi).

Thanks also to the interpreters Diego Barbosa and Gisele Matos Iandra Pessini the hard work of translating the presentation of these works.

Our special thanks to Valerie Sutton for all the work done since 1974. And the whole team who worked to make this happen Symposium. Thanks Adam Frost, Nancy Fray Romero, Stephen E Slevinski Jr and others.

[OUR SPECIAL THANKS to Valerie Sutton for her work since 1974. And give thanks for the staff who worked to make this Symposium possible. Thank you Adam, Nancy Romero, Stephen Slevinski and everyone].

Finally, we thank God for this overdue step, and also by other projects we are developing. There are many surprises coming up …

>> To all who want to understand more about what I'm talking about, want to know and learn to write by SignWriting in LIBRAS.
