Thank you very much Valerie! I am getting very close to completing the documentation of all the actions. Rachel

Hi Rachel -
Oh. I see. Sorry for my rushed answer and my late answer as well ;-)
The half circles of the Finger Circle is showing a circle that is only completed half-way - the Finger does not do a whole circle but a half circle instead. It is "painting" a path in the air so we are just writing the painting of the path it creates - Imagine black paint on the tip of the finger and think of the path the fingertip is writing in the air...
The little arrowhead on the half circles shows the direction of the half circle ... it is hard physically to get your finger to do these circles anyway - so if we know the general direction stated by the little arrowhead that seems enough for us to know the direction -
Finger Circles are first read by the position of the Finger Line itself - the reader sees the position of the Finger Line first - let's imagine that the Finger Line is at a diagonal - and then the half-circle symbol is placed near the tip of the Finger Line and it is only one half so you know to do a half circle in the direction of the arrowhead -
Thank you for all you are doing to document these small symbols - Val ;-)

Hi Rachel!
Great to hear from you. And thank you for this question. These are Finger Circular Movement Symbols - only for the fingers ... making circles from the Knuckle Joint. I will write again with a longer more detailed explanation shortly - Thank you for your patience.
Val ;-)

Can anyone explain for me what these symbols mean? In one set the fingers are parallel to the front wall, and in the other set they are parallel to the side wall and hit the front wall. My problem is that I don’t know why the second column in each are half circles and which direction each one represents. For example, is the first one in the second column (S2f110) representing the fingers moving in circles to the left and then down?
Thanks!
Rachel
