[Sw-l] Report from Steve's desk

Hi Ingvild,

The SignPuddle 2 data is safe and secure.  I will be able to keep the
server up and running.  I will need to rebuild the server in the near
future, but there are several options.

You do not need to send money if you are unable.  SignWriting, our
tools, and our data are free to use.

If you are able to contribute to our efforts, I have a Patreon campaign
that supports the websites and my other efforts.  I have a funding goal
to reach of $300 a month by the end of this year. I am already halfway
there.  https://patreon.com/signwriting

In the future, Valerie will be creating a SignWriting Trust of sorts.
There is no rush and more details will come later.

So there is no need to worry.  I wish I could stay full-time with
SignWriting, but it is impossible without financial support.  In the
next week or two, I will receive an offer for full-time employment with
a neurological research lab as a data manager.  I will probably start in
April.  I will work with SignWriting on Saturdays.

Alternatively, if enough people join the SignWriting team on Patreon in
the next two weeks, I could stay full-time with SignWriting.  I think I
bring value to SignWriting.  Please share my story if you do too.

Thanks,
-Steve
