You may be interested in the SignWriting Web Components.

When creating SVG images for SignWriting, there are two packages you can 
use.
* https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sutton-signwriting/font-ttf
* https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sutton-signwriting/font-db

font-ttf is used in the browser and uses TTF files to view the images.

font-db is used in node and uses a database to create stand-alone svg 
images.
