Hi SignWriting List,
In 2004, I started collaborating with Valerie. She showed me the
SignSpelling Guidelines of 2004.
https://www.signwriting.org/archive/docs2/sw0145-SignSpelling-2004.pdf
Fast-forward to today and I'm really excited about SignMaker 2022. It is
a complete and useful implementation that works as expected. Here is the
above sign in SignMaker 2022.
Here is a link to the public editor for SignMaker 2022 with the sign
preloaded using FSW.
https://sutton-signwriting.github.io/signmaker/index.html#?fsw=AS11817S15a06S2950bS10e30S15a36S20b00M566x632S30a00482x483S34400482x483S15a06476x564S11817482x531S2950b515x549S15a36529x620S10e30536x595S20b00553x608
Formal SignWriting in ASCII (FSW) works nicely in URLs.
SignWriting in Unicode (SWU) is longer and more cryptic when used in URL
links and UTF-8 encoding.
https://sutton-signwriting.github.io/signmaker/index.html#?swu=%F0%9D%A0%80%F1%80%A4%98%F1%82%87%87%F1%89%9F%AC%F1%80%95%B1%F1%82%87%B7%F1%86%90%A1%F0%9D%A0%83%F0%9D%A5%88%F0%9D%A6%8A%F1%8C%8F%81%F0%9D%A3%B4%F0%9D%A3%B5%F1%8D%A6%81%F0%9D%A3%B4%F0%9D%A3%B5%F1%82%87%87%F0%9D%A3%AE%F0%9D%A5%86%F1%80%A4%98%F0%9D%A3%B4%F0%9D%A4%A5%F1%89%9F%AC%F0%9D%A4%95%F0%9D%A4%B7%F1%82%87%B7%F0%9D%A4%A3%F0%9D%A5%BE%F1%80%95%B1%F0%9D%A4%AA%F0%9D%A5%A5%F1%86%90%A1%F0%9D%A4%BB%F0%9D%A5%B2
However, SignWriting in Unicode (SWU) is really beautiful and meaning
when viewed with the one-dimensional font.
Notice the common sorting string in the 2004 cover and the SignWriting
in Unicode(SWU) string image.
The latest code is available to be downloaded at any point. SignMaker is
HTML, CSS, and JS. Download and unzip, then open "index.html" or
"demo.html" in file manager on Windows or the Finder on Mac. You can
also set up SignMaker 2022 as a private server or a public mirror. More
details to follow.

This is just the beginning. Once I finish SignMaker 2022, I'm going to
work on SignText 2022 and the SignWriting Cloud. I have an evolving
plan that is coming together nicely. I can fit it in during the early
mornings and weekends. 2022 is going to be so much fun. Together, we
are going to create large datasets and apply machine learning for an
amazing future.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
-Steve
