[Sw-l] General movement arrowhead

Hi André and everyone,

I understand how the general movement arrowhead has been used by some writers to mean any movement in the same direction, which isn’t how it has officially been defined. It is officially defined as both hands moving along the same path (or on the same line, as I like to say).

So if you are following the official definition of the symbol, the use of this arrow as being discussed is incorrect. Keep in mind, that is not to say that people can’t choose to agree on a new definition for their own circle of writers/readers.

I will give an explanation for some of the examples you gave, André, in another email. Need to prepare some diagrams first. :-)
