Hello SignWriting List, and AnnaGrace -

Thank you for this fun example of possible cursive written handshapes - it is great that there are Deaf-owned businesses in France…

Writing sign languages has quite a history in France - I am not sure if all of your realize but there was a wonderful writing system back in the 1800’s in France, and there are also other writing systems today there, plus…of course SignWriting has been active in France as well -

Here is a link that might interest you - I am happy to see that the video link is still working from one of our old web pages documenting the beautiful work teachers have done teaching SignWriting to Deaf children in France -
