SignWriting List
February 22, 2024
Hello SW List members, and Rubens and everyone -
Thank you, Professor Rubens, for taking the time from your busy day to write this message about my birthday - that is very kind of you and to all of you who have written to me today, what a blessing to know that I have such loving friends - and I appreciate it because everyone needs the feeling of support and love - what else is life all about but the relationships along the way?
And, we all have had so much meaningful communication with writing sign languages - an unusual and new idea that has slowly grown over our lifetimes, but existed long before any of us were born - but is now being applied to our world in a new way - with technology and increased international information and collaboration - I feel so fortunate to be alive at this time to see the changes in our world, in our societies and in our education and literature - very exciting!
Thank you again for this message and I am grateful to you, Rubens, for all you are doing and grateful to everyone here on the SignWriting List -
The next 30 years - hmmmm - maybe I will be here - who knows?
Val ;-)
