Hello SignWriting List, and hello Steve!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for your steadfast focus on making SignWriting and specifically SignPuddle 2, available to the SignWriting Community. Of course no one knows the complexity behind the history of the development of SignPuddle 2 except you, and I only know from observing as an outsider, how miraculous this all is. We started from a tiny little program and now SignPuddle 2 has expanded in use and the amount of data entered into the program is invaluable and we all depend upon it. Meanwhile, the world changed with new demands and the old server, called the Legacy server, was not keeping up with the times. And all this responsibility is falling on your shoulders, Steve. Without funding and with an eager group of writers so dependent on you…

Thank you, for finding solutions, and thank you for caring - We are so fortunate to work with you.

With gratitude - Val ;-)

Many of you have experienced crashes or unresponsiveness, and I know how frustrating this can be. These sites remain vital to our community, and I’m committed to keeping them running as a personal mission.

I’m dedicated to ensuring these essential resources remain available and am exploring long-term solutions to further improve reliability. Thank you for your patience and support, and please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
