Hi SignWriting List,

I have released a new revision of draft-slevinski-formal-signwriting.
This updated revision focuses on the technical details of the character
encoding model.
*
https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-slevinski-formal-signwriting-10.html

Formal SignWriting is a character encoding model for Sutton
SignWriting, a script for writing sign languages recognized under
ISO 15924 script code "Sgnw". It defines a sign as a two-part word,
represented as a string of characters processable by regular
expressions, optimized for display, searching, sorting, and text
processing. This document specifies the character sets, grammar,
token patterns, and technical integration for Formal SignWriting in
ASCII (FSW) and SignWriting in Unicode (SWU), including styling,
query language, and transformations. The specification is intended
for implementation and evaluation, with unrestricted distribution.

The draft is technically dense and intended for programmers and those
interested in implementing SignWriting for their projects.  I have
covered these topic on the SignWriting Stream YouTube channel and in the
SignWriting Symposium presentations.  I am considering a new set of
videos going over each of the sections in detail.

I am interested in any feedback or ideas about the draft.  It would be
helpful to know if anything is confusing and what could be explained in
more detail.

Regards,
-Steve
