We invite you to attend a panel discussion on the challenges and
perspectives of responsible research assessment, taking place in Bern on 16
September 2026. 

The event is part of the  <https://yearofscientometrics.ethz.ch/> Swiss Year
of Scientometrics (SYoS) series and is jointly organised by ETH Library and
the University of Bern. 

 

The discussion will feature the following panellists:

*	Catherine Brun, Deputy Head of the Science Team at the ETH Board
*	Leonhard Held, Professor of Biostatistics at the University of
Zurich and Founding Director of the Center for Reproducible Science and
Research Synthesis
*	Stuart Lane, Vice President of the Swiss National Science Foundation
(SNSF) and Member of the DORA Executive Board
*	Eda Elif Tibet, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Wyss Academy for
Nature and Member of the Swiss Young Academy
*	Fabio Wasserfallen, Professor of European Politics and Director of
the Institute of Political Science at the University of Bern
*	Katja Wirth, Head of the Research Promotion Service at the
University of Fribourg

Moderator Katrin Brugger, Coordinator for Research Evaluation Strategies at
the University of Graz.
