Bang smad (Bomei) Village is located east of the Yar lung (Yalong) River in Bang smad Township, thirty-five kilometers southwest of Nyag rong (Xinlong) County Town. Nyag rong is one of the eighteen counties of Dkar mdzes (Ganzi) Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Si khron (Sichuan) Province, PR China. There are thirty-six households and 223 people in Bang smad Village. All villagers are classified as Tibetan and speak Mi nyag.
 
བང་སྨད་སྡེ་བ་ནི་ཀྲུང་ཧྭ་མི་དམངས་སྤྱི་མཐུན་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་སི་ཁྲོན་ཞིང་ཆེན་དཀར་ མཛེས་བོད་རིགས་རང་སྐྱོང་ཁུལ་གྱི་རྫོང་ཁག་བཅོ་བརྒྱད་ཀྱི་ཡ་གྱལ་ཉག་རོང་རྫོང ་གི་སྤྱི་ལེ་༣༥ཡི་ལྷོ་ནུབ་མཚམས་ཀྱི་བང་སྨད་ཡུལ་ཚོའི་ཡར་ལུང་ཆུ་བོའི་ཤར་ཕྱ ོགས་སུ་ཆགས་ཡོད་ཅིང་གནས་དེ་ན་དུད་ཁྱིམ་༣༦དང་མི་གྲངས་༢༢༣ཡོད་ལ། སྡེ་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བོད་སྐད་དང་མི་ཉག་སྐད་བདེ་སྤྱོད་བཏང་གི་ཡོད་པ་རེད།
 
博美村位于新龙县西南方，雅砻江东岸的博美乡，距县城35公里（新龙县是中国四川省甘孜藏族自治州十八个县的其中之一），博美村有36户共223人， 全村都说木雅语。
 
Villagers earn cash driving cars or tractors, doing construction work, and collecting and selling caterpillar fungus, medicinal herb. Villagers cultivate barley, wheat, potatoes, turnip and peas for self-consumption. Most families also own six or seven head of livestock (cows, horses, sheep, goats, and yak-cow hybrids) that provide dairy products.
 
སྡེ་མི་ཚོས་རླངས་འཁོར་དང་འདྲུད་འཐེན་འཁོར་ལོ། ཨར་ལས་འཛུགས་བསྐྲུན། དབྱར་རྩྭ་དགུན་འབུ་མཚོན་པའི་སྨན་རྩྭ་དག་ཉོ་བསྡུ་སོགས་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་ཡོང་སྒོ་ འཚོལ་གྱིན་ཡོད། ད་དུང་ཁོ་ཚོས་ཁ་ཟས་ལ་གྱོ་ནས་སྲན་གསུམ་དང་ཞོག་ཁོག་ཉུང་མ་སོགས་ཀྱང་འདེབས་བཞ ིན་མཆིས། ཁྱིམ་ཚང་མང་ཤས་ཤིག་ལ་སྒོ་ཕྱུགས་ཀྱི་རེགས་དྲུག (བ་མོ། དང རྟ། ལུག། ར་མ། མཛོ་མོ) གམ་ཡང་ན་བདུན་ཡོད།
 
村民的主要经济收入来源于开车或拖拉机，打工，卖虫草等。村民们种植青稞，小麦，马铃薯，元根，豌豆等粮食作物。平均每户约有六七头牲畜（牛，马，绵 羊，山羊，犏母牛），日常生活用品自给自足。
