Dear colleagues and friends,

We are pleased to release Himalayan Linguistics, 15.2 (December 2016).

It is being released a bit late, due to unforeseen delays in final set-up.
However, I wish to thank our copy-editor You-Jing Lin for moving the
process along more quickly than it otherwise would have gone!

In this issue we have three articles:

—Nancy Caplow: Stress patterns and acoustic correlates of stress in Balti

—Juha Sakari Yliniemi: Nepali attention marker ni

—Marius Zemp: A functional reconstruction of the Proto-Tibetan verbal system

I wish to thank the editorial board of HL for their work with the external
peer review process. Submissions to HL are always invited. We invite
individual articles, and also grammars, dictionaries and text collections,
which are published under the “Archives and Field Reports” section of the
journal. Please navigate to the home page and then click “Submit article to
this journal.”

('Thanks' in Manange)
