[Tibeto-burman-linguistics] Professor Sun Hongkai

Some very sad news for our community:
Professor Sun Hongkai, of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, has passed away. Born in 1934, his research on China’s minority languages covered more than 70 years. Attached is a Chinese summary of his contributions. I’ll post an English translation later. 
The last few years saw him largely bed-ridden from shingles, but he maintained his interest in the field, communicating by WeChat.
