[Tibeto-burman-linguistics] pending changes to TB languages in ISO 639-3

Hi all,
Here is a heads-up that there are some Trans-Himalayan/Tibeto-Burman
changes pending in ISO 639-3 right now. Note that I am not part of the ISO
639-3 team, but I'm just letting you all know since I have been involved
with two of the change requests.

Here are the current requests:

   - Eastern and Western Magar - https://iso639-3.sil.org/request/2025-005
      - I'm not involved and don't know anything about this request

   - changing Ekai Chin [cey] name to Laöktü Chin -
   https://iso639-3.sil.org/request/2025-035


   - I'm one of the requesters
      - *reason: *Outsiders requested the [cey] code and used the name of
      one of the varieties in a dialect chain. The community is starting to
      develop literature using a common name Laöktü (stream people) and would
      like that name used for their language in ISO 639-3.

      - changing Mara Chin [mrh] name to Mara
   https://iso639-3.sil.org/request/2025-034
      - I'm one of the requesters
      - *reason:* Chin was applied to all of the languages in Chin State,
      Myanmar, but this group has a significant population in India, where the
      term Chin is not used. Community leadership does not want Chin in their
      name.

      - *change coming soon:* Shendu [shl] will be deprecated, since it is
   just an outsider name for Mara [mrh]
