Workshop Overview
The 7th International Workshop on Sino-Tibetan Languages of Southwest China will be organized under the auspices of Shanghai Normal University. Previous installments of this workshop tradition were held at Academia Sinica (Taipei) in 2008, Peking University (Beijing) in 2010, Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) (Paris) in 2013, University of Washington (Seattle) in 2016, Nankai University (Tianjin) in 2019, and Kobe City University of Foreign Studies (Kobe) in 2021. In vein of these previous events, and also as southwest China is home to a considerable number of little-explored endangered Sino-Tibetan languages, STLS-2025 will continue to seek the advancement of the study of non-Sinitic Sino-Tibetan languages of southwest China through international cooperation.

Abstracts are invited for presentations on any aspect of linguistic research on any variety of the non-Sinitic Sino-Tibetan languages of southwest China. Applicants interested in presenting their research are encouraged to submit up to one single authored and one co-authored abstracts.
