Dear Colleagues,

Hello! My name is Norihiko Hayashi.

Greetings from Kobe City University of Foreign Studies!

As some of you may notice, we are glad to announce that

the first International Conference on Kra-Dai Languages and Lingustics will be held

at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies in Japan, on November 21-23, 2026.

Although this conference focuses on Kra-Dai languages,

we welcome you if you are interested in this conference.

On the last day, November 23, we will hold the post-conference workshop,

mainly focusing on the language contact between Kra-Dai languages and their neighboring languages.

We hope that there will be many related studies on the Kra-Dai and Tibeto-Burman linguistic contact,

so your applications to the workshop are also highly welcome!

The deadline for abstract submission is August 31, 2026.

Attached please find the first circular in PDF format.

Please be kindly requested to visit the following website for the latest information!

Many thanks!

Best regards,

Norihiko
