The Finno-Ugric Department (Finnugor Tanszék) at the University of Budapest
(Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem) will organize a symposium on
Grammar and Context New Approaches to the Uralic Languages

1st Circular
Preliminary registration and the home page of the symposium:
So far we have received over 40 preliminary registrations from various
countries of the world. It is still possible to send your preliminary
registration to the following address: konteksti at ludens.elte.hu. The
information needed for the registration can be found in the Call for Papers
on the web site for the symposium (http://ludens.elte.hu/~konteksti).

Abstracts and the official languages:
The official languages of the symposium are Hungarian, Finnish, Estonian,
English, German and Russian. Abstracts, however, should be written in
English. They will be published on the web site of the symposium. The
deadline for submission of abstracts (max. 500 words) is November 30, 2003.
Abstracts should be sent by e-mail to the following address:
konteksti at ludens.elte.hu. They should be sent as part of an e-mail message,
not as an attachment. If, however, the use of e-mail is totally impossible,
the abstract can be sent by ordinary mail (see the address below).
Registration fee:
The registration fee is 30 euros for citizens of countries joining the EU
in 2004 and for Russian Federation citizens and 60 euros for citizens of
other countries. The fee should be paid in Hungarian forints (at the
current exchange rate, 1 euro = approx. 250 HUF) in Budapest when you
register on the first day of the symposium.
Accommodation:
All section speakers are kindly asked to make their own hotel reservation.
