Uralic Typology Database Project

Dear All,

The first step of the Uralic Typology Database project, as initiated by
Ferenc Havas and some other linguists and decided by a group of colleagues
in Yoshkar-Ola, has been taken. The University of Vienna and yours truly
have started the web-hostessing ;-) of the project.

The website of the project is located at http://www.univie.ac.at/urtypol/
and awaits the participants' contributions.

For our communication, an e-mail list has been established. All those
present at the founding meeting in Yoshkar-Ola (who left me their addresses)
have been added to the list and can send their communication to the address
ur-typol at lists.univie.ac.at . Further colleagues interested in subscribing
to the list can contact me or visit the list homepage at
http://lists.univie.ac.at/mailman/listinfo/ur-typol .

The default language of the list homepage is English, but the list software
also supports "major" Finno-Ugric languages, Russian and German -- please
feel free to use any language you consider suitable.

Please feel free to forward all these addresses to potentially interested
colleagues.
