Information letter № 1

 

On the 29 – 30th of October 2012

an international scientific conference “Siberian Ugres in the necklace of subarctic cultures: the general and the unique”, devoted to the 25th anniversary of the museum, will take place in Khanty-Mansiysk. The conference invites to participation the representatives of Russian and international scientific centers, the experts in the sphere of Siberian anthropology, history, museology, tourism.

The language of the conference – Russian. The organizing committee provides the translation from English into Russian of the theses for the publication.

The subjects of the conference:

1.    The ethnic history, ethnic and cultural genesis of the Ob Ugres throughout the development of the civilizations of the Siberian North.
2.    The history and culture of the Ob Ugres as a spiritual, tourist and sociocultural resource of the territory.

The applications for participation are accepted by the secretary until the 1st of July 2012. The application form is attached. The arrival and registration of the foreign participants is on the 28th of October.

The theses of the reports for the collection (will be issued by the beginning of the conference) should be sent to the secretary until the 1st of August 2012.

The volume of the theses is up to 3 000 signs on the electronic carriers, word processor Microsoft Word (.doc or .rtf), font – Times New Roman, size – 12, interval – 1,0, serial footnotes at the end of the text.

The beginning of the theses: the name of the author is in the 1st line, place of work –    the 2nd line, country, city –the 3rd, the title – the 4th.

The illustrations are in Tiff or JPEG, the resolution is not less than 300 dpi, the size 1:1 in the publication.

The program of the conference, made on the basis of the applications received, will be sent to the participants.
