Requesting your support: Petition against the closing of DAUM

Dear Colleagues (apologies for cross-postings):

In Sweden, the DAUM archive (Dialekt-, ortnamns- och folkminnesarkivet i Umeå), that is, the archive for dialects, toponyms and folklore of the North, is going to be abolished, whereby its collections would be moved to Uppsala, far away from the carriers of the cultures and languages of the Far North. Meänkieli and Sámi speakers and their organisations are very concerned. You can join the petition for keeping the cultural legacy of the North in the North, at http://www.skrivunder.com/bevara_daum_arkivet_kvar_i_norrland . 

The interface seems to be in Swedish only. Type in your name – given name (förnamn) and surname (efternamn) – town/city, select your country, and type in your e-mail address. You can select whether your name will be shown [Visa ditt underskrift officiellt?: yes (ja) / no (nej)]. Then click "Skriv på denna petition" to submit your data.
