[Ura-list] CfP: 'The social context of language change in Uralic languages' at the Finnish Annual conference in linguistics, Helsinki, May 12-14

Dear Uralist members,
I would like to advertise our workshop 'The social context of language
change in Uralic languages' that will are organising at the Finnish annual
conference of linguistics, Kielitieteen päivät.
This year it will be held in Helsinki on May 12-14. This is an in-person
event, with a general session and numerous workshops (18 this year), where
plenaries and many other papers are in Finnish, though some are also in
English and Swedish. Our workshop accepts papers in all the three languages
of the conference.
300-word abstracts need to be submitted via the conference website by
February 27.

The workshop is intended as a forum for the exchange of ideas and research
results pertaining to the social context of change and change in its social
context in less numerous Uralic languages and in the Uralic past. We hope
to bring together representatives of both synchronic and diachronic
language research for their mutual benefit.
