Dear James Ward,
There is not much published in Balti. I have a copy of "tazkirah"
of Balti poets which is partly in Urdu and partly in Balti. The same
nastaliq script is used for both languages. I remember a sign posted near
the airport that was in Tibetan script (back in 1997). At the time a few
intellectuals in Skardu were teaching themselves Tibetan script and (as
you probably know) there are ancient Tibetan inscriptions outside of town.
