Meeting Description:
The Students' Conference of Linguistics in India (SCONLI) is a two day
international conference organized annually by students. SCONLI strives to
provide a platform to the research students to share their research with the
international audience. The aim of the Conference is to promote research
activities among students of Linguistics. This Conference is a step towards
building a network of future generation of linguists for better, in depth and
widespread work in the area of linguistics. The fourth SCONLI is being
organized
by the Department of Linguistics, University of Mumbai, India.
Call for Papers
Post-graduate and research students of Linguistics in India and abroad are
invited to submit their abstracts in the following areas but not
limited to these:
Syntax
Semantics and Pragmatics
Phonology
Morphology
Discourse Analysis
Semiotics
Indian Grammatical Theory
Historical Linguistics
Translation and Applied Linguistics
Sociolinguistics
Typology
Computational Linguistics
General Linguistics
Abstract submission:
Only abstracts submitted via e-mail will be considered. Please send your
abstracts written in English to sconli4.mumbai at gmail.com.
The abstract submitted for review should contain original, unpublished
research.
Each participant may submit only one abstract for a single author
paper and one
for a joint paper. The abstract should extend at most to two A4 size pages,
including the data and a short list of references, using 12pt single spaced
Times New Roman font. It should be submitted via e-mail in both doc and PDF
formats. Only abstracts submitted in both formats will be entertained. The
subject line of the e-mail containing the abstracts should say 'Abstract for
SCONLI 4'. Please send the properly filled registration form along with the
abstract.
