[ACLA-CAAL] Regular Term Appointment, Department of Linguistics, Memorial University of Newfoundland

The Department of Linguistics, Memorial University of Newfoundland, is seeking applications for a three-year, Regular Term Appointment, commencing July 1, 2022. The Department is interested in candidates with a specialization in Phonology/Phonetics with a secondary specialization in Algonquian languages, preferably Innu-aimun or Mi’kmaq.



Regular term appointees perform the normal duties and responsibilities of an Academic Staff Member. Duties shall include teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as research and graduate supervision.



The position normally requires a completed doctoral degree in Linguistics. A successful candidate has not completed an earned doctorate shall be appointed at the rank of Lecturer. A regular term appointee hired at the rank of Lecturer shall be promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor, effective the date of notification of completion of an earned doctorate.
