Can any one help with this one - I've searched OED, M-W, American Heritage, D.A.R.E, Random House, Urdang, Morris, Mencken, JSTOR, Lexis-Nexis and Dow Jones and come up with zippo. I have a total of 38 uses refering to "that old academic phrase" and what not - but as to how old it is and where it comes from - I am at a loss. Ivy Leaguers? Thanks Katy
