Dunno about that, but am reminded of the following, written by an American:

There was a male chauvinist pig
"Bill Clinton" in fact was his sig.
He thought even Venus
Admired MCP-ness
Until he was lopped from his twig.

...in this case, referring to his sudden unpopularity.
