I am not sure whether Barry or I have previously contributed pre-1935
evidence of "Greek salad," but here's a 1922 citation:

1922 _N.Y. Times_ 4 Spet. 8  A Sunday dinner on Second Avenue is not
complete unless it begins with chopped chicken liver, chopped herring or
Greek salad, marked on the men uas "appetizer."
