Drink the Kool-Aid

Some years ago I published a book-length poem called *Jonestown* , after
having researched the massacre's background quite extensively.  In *Raven:
The Untold Story of the Rev.Jim Jones and His People*  (New York: E.P.
Dutton, 1982), the longest and most reliable non-fiction account,  Tim
Reiterman identifies the fatal drink as "Grape Flavor Aid, a Kool-Aid like
drink."  It was laced with potassium cyanide.
