Wilson writes, "For any Freudians who care, whores addressed their pimps as 'daddy'
and their tricks as 'baby,' whereas tricks addressed the whores as
'mama.'"

And in old movies, guys addressed prostitutes as "sister."

  Dysfunctional.

Back in the day, potential tricks were approached with the question,
"Do you wanna date with me?" I interpreted this as "Do you want _to
date_ with me?" So, far about a half-century, I thought, "Hm.
Interesting construction. Perhaps I can do something with that, one of
these days." Then, not long ago, I suddenly flashed on the possibility
that the question could just as easily have been, "Do you want _a
date_ with me?"

Sometimes, procrastination is the better part of leaping to unfounded
conclusions, I guess.

For any Freudians who care, whores addressed their pimps as "daddy"
and their tricks as "baby," whereas tricks addressed the whores as
"mama."

All say, "How hard it is that we have to die"---a strange complaint to
come from the mouths of people who have had to live.
