baby daddy

Sorry I don't have the precise quotes, but the hip definition of "baby daddy" (stress on "baby") was repeated on CNN's "Black in America" series last week. 
 
Also on screen was a young woman who squealed, "I *love* that term."  
 
Seems excessive to me, but - like the narrator of "Bartleby" - "I am a rather elderly man."
