[Ads-l] It's an intrusive L!

Doubtless there are multiple influences at work, and it would be simplistic
to blame any of them exclusively.

The intrusive / l / in "calvary" (at least as one of my learned and
distinguished attorney friends says it) is very dark indeed - almost as if
it's disappearing.
