Subject: Algerian Music

I'm writing a screenplay in which there is mention of a piece of music
(Algerian  rai).
The title of the piece is "koubou-koubou" which I assume is an Arabic
word. It's important to me to know what the word "koubou" means. Perhaps
it's a name?

I'd appreciate any help you can give me.
