Subject: Muslim Intercultural Exchange Grant Competition

The Cooperative Grants Program (COOP), implemented by NAFSA: Association of
International Educators and funded by the U.S. Department of State, is
accepting proposals for a Muslim Intercultural Exchange Grant competition.
These grants are awards in the range of $2,001-$10,000.  The deadline for
the competition is March 8, 2002.  Projects must accomplish one or more of
the following objectives:

*	Create opportunities for students from predominantly Muslim
countries to engage in substantive exchange with their U.S. peers and their
host communities;
*	Increase resources and understanding on U.S. campuses about the
Muslim world; and/or
*	Address issues related to women in Muslim cultures.

For additional eligibility criteria, application materials, and grant

Scholarships.
