  Assistant Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies

The Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at
Washington College is seeking a full-time assistant professor of
Arabic language and Islamic Studies. Native or near-native fluency in
Arabic. Ph.D preferred but ABD's are invited to apply. The successful
candidate will teach elementary and intermediate Arabic, as well as
courses in Near Eastern Politics and Islamic culture, taught in
English. Washington College is an independent liberal arts college
with a student body of 1350, located in Chestertown on Maryland's
Eastern Shore, approximately 90 minutes from Washington, DC,
Baltimore, and Philadelphia. Send letter of application, resume,
