Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations

  Lecturer in Arabic

The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations announces a
position of Lecturer in Arabic for one year, renewable, starting late
September 2005.  Duties will include teaching various levels of Arabic
to both undergraduate and graduate students.  Applicants should have
native or near-native proficiency in Arabic and experience at the
college level teaching Arabic as a foreign language.  A Ph.D. is
desirable but not required. Applicants should send before June 20, 2005,
a cover letter with a brief description of teaching philosophy, a
curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and supporting
documents including teaching evaluations and sample syllabi, if
available, to
