     I am embarking on a translation of two articles by Charles Ferguson
titled:

1.  Ferguson, Ch.  1996.  Diglossia Revisited.  In Alaa Elgibali (ed.),
Understanding Arabic: Essays in Contemporary Arabic Linguistics in  
Honor of
El-Said Badawi.
2.  ___________.  1959.  Diglossia.  Word,15: 325-340.

     I wonder if there are any previous translations for these  
articles or
ones on the same topic.
