Dear all,
I’d like to ask you about the etymology of the Arabic idiom
marbiT-u  l-faras-i
which literally means 'the place where the mare is tied up', and  
idiomatically means 'the focal point' or 'the most important point/ 
issue in a(n) argument/problem etc.'.

How do the two meanings relate?
