You may want to look at the new Routledge release Communication and  
Information Structure in Spoken Arabic, edited by Jonathan Owens and  
Alaa El Gibaly, most the papers in which fall within the field of  
pragmatics as applied to Arabic, if not directly addressing relevance  
theory as such.
