Subject:Two ARAM Society Announcement

Dear Colleague,

ARAM Society for Syro-Mesopotamian Studies is organizing its Thirty Fourth International Conference on the theme of the Edomites (Idumeans) and the Nabataeans, to be held at the Oriental Institute, the University of Oxford, 25-27 July 2012.
The conference aims to study Edom and the Edomites and Idumea and Idumeans and their relationship to the Nabataeans; and it will start on Wednesday July 25 at 9am, finishing on Friday July 27 at 6pm. Each speaker’s paper is limited to 35 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for discussion. All papers given at the conference will be considered for publication in a future edition of the ARAM Periodical, subject to editorial review. We are very sorry about the small mistake in the date. The conference will be on 2-4 July 2012.

ARAM Society for Syro-Mesopotamian Studies is organizing its Thirty Third International Conference on the theme of Zoroastrianism in the Levant (including Iran), to be held at the Oriental Institute, the University of Oxford, 02-04 July 2012.
The conference aims to study the Zoroastrian religion in the Levant (including Iran), and to pay a special attention to the interaction of Zoroastrianism with Near Eastern religions, especially with Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
The conference will start on Monday July 02 at 9am, finishing on Wednesday July 04 at 6pm. Each speaker’s paper is limited to 35 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for discussion. All papers given at the conference will be considered for publication in a future edition of the ARAM Periodical, subject to editorial review.
