Subject:Needs OCR for early 20th Century Printed books

Dear list members,

I am looking for a programme that will reliably convert text from
early twentieth century printed Arabic materials (books, journals,
magazines from 1890 through 1950). I've used trial version of several
of the readily-available commercial OCR programmes that say they can
OCR Arabic texts, but none have been able to handle this material. Do
any list members have experience running OCR on such material?
Thank you,

Hilary Kalmbach
