Abdelkader Fassi Fehri

In Honor of Pr Abdelkader Fassi Fehri, the

Rabat, in collaboration with the Linguistic Society of Morocco, hosts
an international conference on the theme
“Language, Cognition, Meaning, Planning, and Education”

Pr Abdelkader Fassi Fehri is better known as an outstanding
comparative linguist and Arabist, but his contributions go far beyond
language and linguistics proper to cognition, meaning, language

We colleagues, students, and friends of his, are eager to organize an
international event of broad interest, as a tribute to his original
and leading performances in various fields. We are seeking
presentations that explore several topics related (but not limited) to
the following titles:
	•	Language, linguistics, cognition, and thought.
	•	Describing and theorizing features of the Arabic Language.
	•	Language planning, politics, and the World language system.
	•	Semiotics, culture, literature, and art.
	•	Reform of educational systems and scientific institutions.

The selected contributions will be included in a book to be dedicated
to him as a Festschrift.

The proposed abstracts for contributions should reach the organizing
committee no later than November 15, 2012. They should be typed in
Word format, not exceeding 500 words.
