Assistant Professor of Arabic Studies
The Monterey Institute of International Studies, a graduate school of
Middlebury College, located in Monterey, California is seeking
applications for an Assistant Professor of Arabic Studies.  The
position is a regular, full-time position, teaching approximately 10
contact hours per week in an Arabic Studies program where graduate
students are pursuing Arabic to complement their Master’s degree
studies in international policy and management.  The ideal applicant
has experience teaching all levels of Arabic and experience with
content-focused instruction, particularly in areas of policy and
business.  We expect applicants to have native-level fluency in Arabic
and a proven record of teaching excellence as demonstrated in
supervisor and peer observations, student evaluations, original
materials, etc., as well as the ability to work with graduate students
from varied linguistic, educational, and experiential backgrounds. MA
(considered) or PhD (preferred) in teaching foreign language or
