Subject:CAMES Summer Lebanese Arabic Program

The Center for Arab and Middle Eastern Middle Eastern Studies at the
American University of Beirut will offer one 6-credit class in intensive
colloquial Lebanese Arabic at the intermediate level from June 24 until
August 7, 2013.

This course is designed for students who already have some knowledge of
Levantine dialect and wish to reach a higher level. Students who wish to
apply must have studied Modern Standard Arabic for at least two semesters.**

** The course will use teaching materials developed by CAMES. Lebanese
films, songs, and other audiovisual materials will also be used.

** The course consists of 120 contact hours, equivalent to 6 credit hours
earned at AUB, which may be transferred to other universities.

The application deadline is February 28, 2013. Applications may be
