Dear colleagues -
I have questions about Walker Controller that I can not figure out from the
CLAN manual or TALKBANK documentation. I am trying to use Walker in an
existing transcript that is derived from a video file but not linked to one.
FYI I am using Quick Time 6.3 and CLAN programs downloaded last month. I've
tried several things.

1. Began transcript in CHAT window then clicked "open media" in Walker
dialog box to get video file. Result: message "Movie marker is not found at
cursor position. Please move text cursor next to the bullet". Does this mean
I have to link the transcript first? If so, is there a preferred linking
method to be used in conjunction w. Walker?

2. Also tried retranscribing a small section in transcriber mode, opening
video file with F5 key, and then opening Walker Controller with text cursor
next to a randomly selected bullet to circumvent error message but this
doesn't seem to work either.

3. Any way to get time code from my digital video in CHAT QuickTime window
(I do get time code if I open Quick Time from outside of CLAN ...
