noncompletion of a word

Hi,

I have a question about noncompletion of words and how to code them.

The child's utterance is:

it is a teacher like you but a bo but a man.

The child is beginning to say 'boy' but interrupts and corrects herself
with 'but a man' .

What is the best way to code this?

1) is a teacher like you <but a bo> [* s:r] [//] but a man.
OR
2) it is a teacher like you <but a (boy)> [//] but a man.
OR
in another way?

Is it possible at all to transcribe incomplete words like in the first case
('bo' meaning 'boy')?

Grateful for input!

Regards,
Karin Edlund
