New server for SALISHAN

I'm in the process of arranging a move:  Barring the unforeseen, the
SALISHAN list is going to be hosted by LINGUIST on their powerful server.

LINGUIST is also willing to host CHINOOK.  For the moment, my decision =
has
been to move SALISHAN and see how it works out. =20

My question to all of you is:  Would you like to see CHINOOK operating =
out
of a bigger, more sophisticated server computer?  Or do you like our list
just as it is?

Advantages of being with LINGUIST would be=20
	--the ability to have an archive of all the postings that have
	  ever been sent to CHINOOK (very good research material, I
	  think);
	--the ability for subscribers to choose a "digest" option, where
	  you receive all the postings for a week at one time, instead of
	  their coming to you as they're sent in by members;=20
	--and some other tricky doodads.

Please post your feedback about this, or send it privately to me if you
want.  I promise to take everyone's wishes into account.  And I'll be
comparing SALISHAN-on-LINGUIST with our CHINOOK-on-TINCAN arrangement.
