Hi,

This is an open invitation:

The 2004 Chinook Gathering (Chinuk-Wawa Lu7lu) will be held in Portland,
Oregon from 1pm on Friday May 14th through about 1pm on Sunday May 16th.
The venue is being confirmed & will be announced here.

A website for registration & the schedule of the Gathering is being
constructed.  That will be announced here also.

If you're someone who'd like to make a presentation, or lead a language
exercise or learning section, let Jim Holton know.  His email is

This will be our 6th gathering since 1998.  It's a (still) rare
opportunity to use Chinook Jargon in conversation and deepen your
understanding.  It looks like pidgin CJ & the creole from Grand Ronde will
both be represented, so everyone can learn something.
