Dixon & Palmantier, "Western Shuswap Reader"

This may be of tangential interest to someone on the list. There's a book
edited by May Dixon and Mary Palmantier, published in 1982, "Western
Shuswap Reader" (Leiden, Netherlands: no publisher named). It's a
collection of texts in Shuswap.

Page 11 has a story, "Sxetsets", from Charlie Draney of Deadman's Creek. I
haven't gone through the hard work of trying to translate it. But it
involves the Fraser River, a Chinese immigrant, chow mein, rabbits, and I'm
guessing at least one First Nations person.

Maybe there's some interesting story of Chinese-Native cultural contact
there.
